WHAT WE BELIEVE

Through life’s journey we can know God, find freedom, discover our purpose and make a difference by understanding what the Bible says about these steps.

That’s why this is our statement of faith

THE BIBLE IS THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD

We believe that the Bible, that is, the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. It is infallible and it is a guide for what we believe and practice.

UNITY OF THE ONE TRUE LIVING GOD

We believe in the unity of the one true and living God who is eternal and self-existent. He has also revealed Himself as one God co-existing in three Persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

THE PERSON OF JESUS

We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous acts, sacrificial death, bodily resurrection and victorious ascension into heaven of the Lord Jesus Christ. Also, we believe in His personal, visible, bodily return in power and glory as the blessed hope of all that have believed in Him.

FALL OF MANKIND

We believe that people were created pure and upright, but fell and lost their way by voluntary disobedience to God’s will.

SALVATION THROUGH FAITH

We believe in salvation through faith in Christ, who, according to the Bible, died for our sins, was buried and was raised from the dead on the third day, and that through His sacrificial death we can be redeemed back to God.

NEW BIRTH

Salvation is also known as the new birth, and is an instantaneous and complete work of the Holy Spirit when we put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

BAPTISM BY IMMERSION IN WATER

We believe that all who have truly repented and believed in Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a gift for believers that empowers them to serve God. The evidence that we have recieived this gift is the speaking in other languages as the Holy Spirit gives this ability.

GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit also gives us abilities, beyond our own capabilities, that serve to build people up, help them find freedom and enourage them to know God more deeply.

HOLINESS OF LIFE

We believe in living a holy life and that our conduct should please God by following His will in every area of our life.

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, not only can we be forgiven of our sin but that healing is also provided for.

COMMUNION

We believe that all who have truly recieved Jesus as Lord and Saviour should regularly participate in Communion in which the bread represents the body of Christ and the wine represents His blood that was shed for our forgiveness.

RESURRECTION OF ALL MANKIND

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind. Those that have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ will be raised to everlasting life and those that have not believed in Him will also be raised but, to an everlasting punishment and separation from God.
