Word of Life Church had its beginnings in the town of Woking in the 1970s. The desire and vision was to reach out to people so that they may know the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the early days this was done mainly for Italian speaking people. Our mission today remains unchanged the only difference being that we want to share our faith in Jesus Christ with people of every nationality and background striving to do this as a church and as individuals. We are part of the Assemblies of God GB family of churches. We desire to be a place where the Word of God, the Bible, is central to our life, where all present are free to worship God, enjoy community and grow in their faith.

“Over the years I have seen Word of Life Church develop and grow from being a predominantly Italian speaking church to being a community where different nationalities and walks of life come together to worship God. We are blessed with a very friendly, amazing and dedicated group of people that make up the church today. People from many different countries and continents have settled in Woking and our church family embraces those with origins in six continents from Asia across Europe to the Americas.

Pastor Eddy has been at Word of Life since the age of 8, when his family moved to England from Malta.  In 1993 he studied at the Italian Bible College in Rome (affiliated to the Italian Assemblies of God), where he met his wife Marilena. From 1997 he took up responsibilities within the leadership team and focused on youth work within the church and then, in April 2008, he took on the role of being our pastor.
